Role Purpose As a DevOps Engineer IV , you are expected to be strong in both the ?Dev? and ?Ops? aspects of DevOps. The role requires a deep understanding of systems architecture and core computer science fundamentals, with the ability to reason about system behavior rather than relying solely on existing tools. This is a high-impact position with significant responsibility. As one of the early hires in the Bengaluru office, you will help shape the team culture, collaborate with highly driven peers, and gain international exposure with opportunities for cross-functional impact. Role Value This is an individual contributor role within the Production team, focusing on enhancing CI/CD processes to boost engineering productivity while building a scalable and secure CI/CD platform. You will mentor junior engineers and lead collaborative initiatives across teams. Responsibilities Deploy, manage, and administer web services in public cloud environments. Design and build secure, highly available, performant, and scalable services in elastic environments. Maintain and continuously improve CI/CD solutions. Own operational aspects of web services, including automation, monitoring, alerting, reliability, and performance. Innovate solutions to operational challenges with direct business impact. Drive resolution and communication during production-impacting incidents. Lead technical projects and ensure timely deliveries at the project level. Collaborate effectively with engineering and business teams across regions. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor?s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field. 8+ years of DevOps / Infrastructure management experience, including 5+ years in AWS. Strong foundation in operating systems, networking, distributed systems, and systems architecture. Proven success in leading critical DevOps initiatives. Hands-on expertise with AWS services, orchestration (ECS, EKS), and infrastructure management. Proficiency with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions). Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash). Solid experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with artifact management systems (AWS CodeArtifact, GitHub Packages/Artifacts, Artifactory). Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools (Snyk, SonarQube, Trivy) and cloud-native security concepts (IAM, least privilege, certificates, auditability). Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Broad exposure to cloud-hosted applications, virtualization platforms, databases, reverse proxies, and orchestration platforms. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities. Demonstrated curiosity, continuous learning mindset, and a drive to raise the technical bar.
