DevOps Engineer

BioTrack's SRE team is responsible for building and scaling the cloud that supports customers across the globe. Our customers depend on BioTrack's SaaS to manage and extend their business. We embrace the agile way, automate tedious tasks, and build infrastructure as code.

In this role, you're going to have the unique opportunity to architect, build, and support our platform as a service (SaaS). You will make crucial decisions about how to manage complex, high-performance distributed systems. You will have visibility and impact across all of Engineering.

Some initial job tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Design, implement, and manage a highly available and scalable cloud (SaaS) that allows development teams to deploy and run their services.
• Influence architectural decisions with a focus on security, scalability, and high performance.
• Build end-to-end documentation and instrumentation of our platform to ensure visibility, automation, self-healing, and resiliency throughout the stack.
• Collaborate with other engineers on the team to foster solid engineering principles and represent our engineering values
• You will provide additional support for AWS/GCP and K8 Clusters.
• Take part in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Seek and implement strategies to drive company profitability.
• Review System Logs on a Daily Basis 
• Assure Backups are Completed/Scheduled
• Support SOC1 SOC2 activities on a daily basis.

• Minimum 5 years Ubuntu server/Linux command line experience 
• 3–4 years experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including hands-on work with core services, IAM, networking, and security best practices.
• 2–3 years experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• 2–3 years experience with CI/CD pipeline development using platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• 2–3 years experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, or AKS to deploy and scale containerized applications.
• 3-5 years K8s experience
• 3 years of RDS/Postgres experience
• Thorough knowledge of Bash scripting is helpful
• Minimum 3 years Grafana
• Working knowledge of helm
• Working knowledge of GIT
• Willing to be on call in case of emergencies
