Job Description

Key Responsibilities Migration Enablement & Automation Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for AWS resources using Terraform/CloudFormation. Automate migration tasks, configuration management, and deployments. Build CI/CD pipelines for applications being migrated to AWS. Cloud Operations & Monitoring Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELK/Prometheus/Grafana. Implement backup, disaster recovery, and failover automation for migrated workloads. Optimize AWS environments for cost, security, and performance. Collaboration Work closely with Cloud Lead to execute migration waves. Support Cloud Architect in validating infrastructure and application designs. Collaborate with application teams to integrate CI/CD for re-hosted workloads. Security & Compliance Implement IAM roles, security groups, and compliance policies in AWS. Enforce cloud governance (tagging, logging, encryption). Ensure secure DevOps practices during migration. Post-Migration Operations Support stabilization and transition to steady-state cloud operations. Troubleshoot and resolve deployment/migration issues quickly. Enable observability and autoscaling for migrated workloads. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience 5-7 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering. 2-4 years of AWS cloud DevOps experience. Proven track record of supporting cloud migrations or deployments. Technical Skills Strong in AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, EKS/ECS, VPC, IAM. Hands-on with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline). Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS). Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell). Certifications (preferred) AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Soft Skills Problem-solving mindset with focus on automation and efficiency. Strong collaboration skills to work in cross-functional migration teams. Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and deliver in fast-paced environments. Good communication to document and share best practices.
