Spring Boot (Java 8+) & Microservices Location: Trivandrum / Kochi / Chennai Job Type: Hybrid (3 days work from office) Experience: 3 - 5years Department: Software Development / Engineering Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and passionate Java Developer with strong experience in Java 8+ and the Spring Boot ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems in a microservices architecture. You will be part of an agile, cross-functional team delivering enterprise-grade solutions. Roles And Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java (8+) and Spring Boot. Build and integrate RESTful APIs, relational databases, and third-party services. Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices. Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software solutions. Implement and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability. Ensure performance, scalability, and security of backend components. Conduct code reviews and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively and efficiently. Must-Have Skills Strong programming expertise in Java 8 or higher. Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security. Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development. Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and software architecture principles. Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). Familiarity with version control systems like GitLab or GitHub. Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools. Proficiency in writing unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks. Good-to-Have Skills Exposure to Spring Cloud for building distributed systems. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools. Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Domain experience in Healthcare or related industries.
