Developer – Python / API Development

Location: India (Remote)

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract

Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Compensation: ₹15–20 LPA

Role Overview

We are seeking a Developer to join a major digital technology programme within a leading telecommunications organisation.

You will work within an Agile delivery team, collaborating with developers, QA engineers, business analysts and product owners to build and enhance scalable backend services and digital platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications and backend services
• Build and integrate REST APIs
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups and sprint reviews
• Write clean, maintainable and scalable code
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices

Required Skills

• Experience working as a Software Developer
• Strong experience with Python programming
• Experience building REST APIs
• Experience with Git / GitLab
• Familiarity with Agile development environments
• Experience using JIRA / Confluence
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cucumber BDD
• Exposure to cloud platforms
• Telecom or digital platform experience
