Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Desktop Engineer position based in Vadodara. Daily responsibilities include providing technical support and troubleshooting for desktop systems, managing software installations, ensuring the smooth functioning of operating systems, and addressing user queries. The role requires diagnosing and resolving computer hardware and software issues while maintaining seamless device connectivity and performance for optimal operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 and 2 support for desktop/laptop issues across Windows platforms.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and patches.
- Setup and deploy new hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, etc.) and manage asset inventory.
- Handle user account management in Active Directory and other identity systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues remotely and on-site.
- Provide support for video conferencing tools and remote access (VPN, RDP).
- Maintain and update IT documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols, data protection, and backup procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT team members and escalate complex issues as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in desktop support or similar IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with remote desktop support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc.).
- Good understanding of endpoint security, antivirus, and patch management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
