Air Pollution Control Systems (ESP, Bag Filter, FGD)

Position: Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer

Experience Required: 3–5 Years

Industry: Air Pollution Control / Environmental Engineering / EPC

Location: Delhi NCR / Project Sites as required

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer with experience in

Air Pollution Control Equipment such as Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP), Bag Filters, and

Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems. The candidate shall be responsible for detailed

engineering, design and commissioning support for electrical and instrumentation systems

associated with APC equipment projects.

Electrical Engineering

 Preparation of electrical design documents including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), power

distribution schemes, cable sizing and cable schedules.

 Preparation of earthing and lightning protection layouts.

 Preparation of MCC/PCC panel specifications.

 Preparation of load list and power consumption calculations.

 Selection of motors, drives, switchgears, cables, transformers, and field instruments.

 Preparation and review of GA drawings, cable tray layouts, junction box layouts, and

Electrical BOQ/MTO.

 Coordination with vendors for technical evaluation and approvals.

 Review of vendor drawings/documents and ensure compliance with project

specifications.

Instrumentation Engineering

 Preparation of Instrument index, I/O list, Instrument datasheets, Hook-up drawings,

Cable schedules, and Control philosophy.

 Knowledge of process instrumentation used in ESP, Bag Filter, and FGD systems.

Project & Site Coordination

 Coordination with process, mechanical, and civil teams during engineering execution.

 Technical support during erection, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.

 Participation in FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.

 Preparation of as-built documents and final project dossiers.

Required Skills

 Good knowledge of electrical and instrumentation design standards (IEC/IS).

 Experience in APC equipment projects including ESP, Bag Filters, and FGD systems.

 Familiarity with VFDs, HT/LT systems, and industrial communication protocols.

 Software knowledge: AutoCAD and MS Office.

 Understanding of hazardous area classification is an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

 B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Experience

 Experience in EPC/project engineering companies handling environmental or industrial

process plants.

 Exposure to thermal power, cement, steel, sugar, or process industries preferred.
