Job Description

Role-Insulation Erection Engineer

An Insulation Execution Engineer in the oil and gas industry will be responsible for managing the installation of hot, cold, acoustic, and fireproof insulation on pipelines, vessels, and equipment.

Location-Oman

Experience- 8-10 years in industrial insulation (specifically EPC projects), expertise in material application (mineral wool, cellular glass, etc.), and strong knowledge of industry standards like ASTM, ISO, and NACE.

Core Experience Criteria

Industry Experience: Should have good direct site work experience in thermal insulation engineering, focusing on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects in oil, gas, or petrochemical sectors.
Site Supervision & Execution: Proven experience in managing, supervising, and coordinating insulation crews and subcontractors on site.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of insulation materials (mineral wool, calcium silicate, foam, cellular glass) and their application techniques (hot, cold, and cryogenic).
Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, including knowledge of permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and fire safety.
Drawing Interpretation: Proficiency in interpreting insulation drawings, P&ID isometric sketches, and technical specifications.
Project Documentation: Preparing and reviewing insulation specifications, material takeoff (MTO), and thermal calculations.
Quality Control: Implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) to ensure high-quality insulation application and cladding.
Progress Monitoring: Tracking daily progress, reporting, and managing material, tools, and scaffolding.
Material Knowledge: Familiarity with Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) prevention, coating systems, and vapor barriers.
