The Deputy General Manager - Finance will be responsible for leading the financial operations of the company's regional branch and supporting the Regional Head. Additionally, this role involves supporting the organization in achieving its financial targets through innovative initiatives to generate additional revenue and manage costs. The position will also ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
Financial Management & Compliance
The Deputy General Manager - Finance will be responsible for leading the financial operations of the company's regional branch and supporting the Regional Head. Additionally, this role involves supporting the organization in achieving its financial targets through innovative initiatives to generate additional revenue and manage costs. The position will also ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
Financial Management & Compliance
- Assist the Regional Head with finance responsibilities for the region, including accounts, budgetary controls, project budgeting, pricing, MIS, statutory compliances, tax filings, and audit matters.
- Verify Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) quarterly in collaboration with the Admin, Security, and IT teams, and send confirmation to the Regional Finance Controller (RFC).
- Maintain Embassy accounts reconciliation and control, providing monthly confirmation to the RFC.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, internal reporting standards, Kuoni code, Finance SOPs, and VFS Global policies.
- Fulfill internal audit requirements and ensure audit report closure within 7 working days.
- Ensure Financial Accounting and Reporting compliance and submit a monthly compliance certificate by the 7th of the following month.
- Conduct regular visits and surprise audits at VACs, with at least 2 visits to each VAC per year.
- Prepare project and annual quarterly budgets for the region.
- Provide Management Information System (MIS) reports for the region, including monthly profitability analysis against budgets, and review books/MIS regularly.
- Manage the business update tracker, including additional revenue/cost savings, for South Asia, and submit it to the RFC by the 10th of every month.
- Prepare projected cash flows and develop initiatives for cost-saving and revenue generation.
- Implement special projects, such as ISO certification and SAP.
- Promote judicious use of natural resources.
- Adhere to the organization's environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines
- Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities details as prescribed on the ABMS manual.
- Understanding of ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices.
- Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts. For more detailed explanation, follow the ABMS manual.
- Graduate/postgraduate or Global Equivalent Degree in finance or related field.
- 12 - 15 years of relevant work experience.
