Ddos L1 & L2 Engineer _ Kolkata (WFO)

2 -5 years of hands-on experience managing DDoS mitigation devices

Strong experience with Arbor Edge Defense (AED 8200) preferred

Education : Graduation in any discipline

Certification : CEH/ Any FW or any Network certification.

Location : Kolkata

Shift – Rotational Shift

Role Overview

The L2 Engineer will handle advanced DDoS analysis, mitigation actions, device management, and maintenance, while supporting L1 engineers and ensuring platform stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis of DDoS alerts and traffic patterns.
• Execute advanced mitigation techniques and tuning on AED 8200.
• Perform regular health checks and performance optimization.
• Plan and execute firmware/version upgrades with rollback plans.
• Deploy and validate signature and policy updates.
• Identify and remediate device-related vulnerabilities.
• Support VA/PT activities and audit requirements.
• Guide and mentor L1 engineers during incidents.
• Coordinate with OEM/vendor for escalations and troubleshooting.
• Prepare SLA and RCA reports and monthly operational reports.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong expertise in Arbor Edge Defense (AED 8200).
• Deep understanding of network protocols and DDoS mitigation strategies.
• Experience in firmware upgrades, vulnerability management, and change control.
• Ability to handle incidents independently and under pressure.
