Job Title: DataStage Systems Engineer Experience: 6?10 Years Location: Bangalore Job Description We are seeking an experienced Specialist Systems Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in IBM DataStage and Informatica Administration . The ideal candidate should have deep technical knowledge of ETL tools, production support environments, system installation, configuration, performance tuning, and issue resolution. Key Responsibilities ETL Administration (DataStage & Informatica) Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and administration of IBM DataStage and Informatica PowerCenter. Manage DataStage applications including backups, performance tuning, and migration activities. Install and configure Informatica Server/Client components on UNIX, Windows, AWS, and RHEL environments. Configure domains, application services, user security, LDAP authentication, SSL, and logger services. Promote mappings, sessions, and workflows across environments (DEV ? QA ? PROD). System & Architecture Support Maintain and evolve technical architectures and supervisory systems. Provide technical support for PROD and NON-PROD environments, ensuring high availability. Troubleshoot complex ETL, server, workflow, and session-related issues. Ensure effective monitoring, validation, and testing for new deployments. Perform backup and recovery for DataStage and Informatica repositories and configurations. Production Support Handle 24/7 production support including on-call responsibilities. Ensure timely resolution of critical production issues. Coordinate effectively with business units, internal teams, and clients. Performance & Monitoring Conduct performance tuning for ETL processes and environments. Monitor system health, resource consumption, and job performance. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of hands-on experience in Informatica Administration. Minimum 5+ years supporting large-scale production environments. Strong knowledge of IBM DataStage, Informatica PowerCenter, SQL Developer, Putty, and related tools. Expertise in UNIX/Linux environments with Shell/Python scripting skills. Experience with DataStage and Informatica configuration on AWS & RHEL. Good understanding of workflow/session debugging, error handling, and ETL architecture. Experience with migrations, especially Informatica 10.x upgrades. Good SQL and basic Java knowledge. Preferred Skills Experience providing architectural guidance for ETL platforms. Exposure to cloud migration or hybrid environments. Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills. Ability to work independently with a self-starter mindset.
