Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Database Developer / Data Modeler to join our technology team supporting data initiatives for our asset management business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data modeling, database design , and a deep understanding of buy-side financial concepts , particularly within Private Markets (Private Credit, Private Equity, Real Estate, Alternatives) Experience : 8? 12 years Location: Mumbai Mode of Work : Full time -hybrid Key Responsibilities: Design and develop efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers Perform query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization to ensure high availability and responsiveness Create and maintain data models, ER diagrams, and database schemas Build and manage data pipelines for ETL processes and real-time data flow Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic into business applications Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices Monitor database performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks Participate in code reviews and contribute to database design decisions Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar RDBMS Proficient in writing and debugging stored procedures, functions, and triggers Expertise in query optimization, execution plans, and index strategies Solid understanding of data modeling (normalized and denormalized), star/snowflake schemas Experience with data pipeline development and ETL tools Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and database profiling Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery strategies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Good to have skills: Experience in data warehousing and business intelligence. Knowledge of data governance practices. Certification in data modeling or related fields.
