Operations DBA (MSSQL & MongoDB)

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Operations DBA to support mission-critical systems in a secure government environment. The role focuses on production stability, high availability, incident response, performance tuning, and disaster recovery for Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB platforms operating in a 24/7 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for MSSQL and MongoDB environments
• Troubleshoot database outages, failover issues, blocking/deadlocks, and performance bottlenecks
• Manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and MongoDB Replica Sets
• Maintain backup, restore, DR readiness, and periodic DR testing
• Perform database performance tuning and capacity planning
• Support database releases, migrations, and production deployments

Required Skills

• 5–8+ years DBA experience
• Strong experience with:
• Microsoft SQL Server (Always On, HA, Performance Tuning)
• MongoDB (Replica Sets, Backup/Restore)
• Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical production systems
• Experience handling Severity 1 incidents
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Singapore Government projects
• Exposure to microservices, Kafka, REST APIs, ETL
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident management
