The Opportunity

Design and execute migration of Microsoft SQL Server workloads from on-premises to GCP, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SQL Server migration strategies (backup/restore, log shipping, replication)
• Configure high availability solutions (Always On Availability Groups) on GCE
• Deploy and optimize SQL Server on Google Compute Engine
• Perform database cutovers and validation during migration waves
• Optimize performance, storage, and cost for cloud-based SQL workloads
• Collaborate with application and platform teams for integration
• Ensure backup, recovery, and DR strategies are implemented
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  
  

Bonus Points

• Experience with cloud deployments (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization
• Experience in large-scale database migrations
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments
