Job Title: Data Validation Engineer ? Automotive Industry Location: Gurgaon Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 1 Senior Engineer (4+ years) Job Description: We are looking for skilled Data Preparation, Validation & Analysis Engineers with strong fundamentals in automotive systems, measurement technologies, data acquisition, and test environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to process, validate, and interpret large volumes of data from engine, battery, fuel-cell, and chassis dynamometer testbeds and ensure high-quality inputs for requirement engineering, calibration, and development teams. Key Responsibilities: Perform signal interpretation, time-series analysis , and data validation activities. Work with data from automotive propulsion systems (combustion, battery-electric, and fuel cells). Understand and analyze data from engine, battery, fuel-cell, and chassis dynamometer testbeds . Support data acquisition, processing, and validation from measurement devices and automation systems. Utilize tools like INCA, Xion, CANalyzer for measurement and analysis. Work with automation systems such as PUMA, iGEM , supporting test execution and data capture. Validate measurement equipment functionality (dyno systems, flow meters, emissions devices, electrical sensors, etc.). Perform standard engineering calculations (power, emissions, efficiencies, etc.). Prepare datasets and structured information for requirement derivation and downstream engineering. Collaborate with requirement, calibration, test, and development teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of data. Support reporting and dashboarding using tools such as Grafana, PowerBI , and OpenSearch . Document analysis methods, validation logs, data issues, and requirement inputs clearly. Maintain consistency and quality in datasets across testing cycles and programs. Required Skills & Background General Knowledge Strong understanding of signal interpretation and time-series data analysis . Knowledge of propulsion systems (ICE, battery-electric, fuel-cell). Familiarity with automotive test environments and testbed setups. Understanding of data acquisition & measurement systems (INCA, Xion, CANalyzer). Experience with automation platforms: PUMA, iGEM . Knowledge of measurement equipment and working principles (dyno, flow meters, emission analyzers). Ability to perform basic engineering calculations related to power, emissions, etc. Languages Python PySpark SQL JSON (DB query / data extraction) Tools & Frameworks Grafana PowerBI Rancher Desktop OpenSearch Confluence, Jira Concerto Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and handle multiple datasets and tasks. Good communication skills for cross-team coordination. Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and systems. Requirements Experience in automotive data processing, measurement systems, or test engineering. Hands-on exposure to Python scripting for data processing. Basic understanding of automotive testing workflows and measurement principles. Familiarity with dashboards, monitoring tools, and reporting frameworks.
