We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Expedia Marketing Analytics team. In this role, you will design and execute measurement frameworks and experimentation to evaluate marketing effectiveness, generating insights that directly inform marketing strategy, investment decisions, and performance optimization.
Your work will help ensure our marketing investments are guided by robust evidence, enabling the business to drive sustainable growth and maximize return on marketing spend. In This Role, You Will
- Measure marketing effectiveness using data science methodologies such as experimentation (A/B test), incrementality analysis, and marketing mix modeling (MMM).
- Develop and scale new measurement methodologies to improve how marketing impact is evaluated across channels, while proactively identifying and solving measurement and data challenges.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses using SQL, Python, and Tableau to generate insights on marketing performance and customer behavior, uncovering growth opportunities
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for marketing stakeholders and senior leadership to support data-driven decision making.
- Frame ambiguous business questions into structured analytical problems, applying data science approaches to deliver practical and scalable solutions.
- Drive cross-functional partnerships and manage stakeholders across marketing, finance, and engineering teams to implement measurement frameworks and enable data-driven decision making.
- Contribute to the broader analytics community by promoting measurement best practices and advancing experimentation and analytics capabilities.
- Takes a proactive approach to problem solving, identifies opportunities, collaborates effectively with others, and operates with a high degree of independence.
- Relevant degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or minimum of 3+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related analytical role.
- Proven track record of translating large and complex datasets into strategic, actionable business insights, driving end-to-end processes from data extraction and analysis to insight generation, implementation, and evaluation.
- Hands-on experience applying statistical methods and experimentation techniques, including A/B testing and causal analysis.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau for data extraction, analysis, modelling, and visualization.
- Strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- Experience measuring marketing effectiveness and channel ROI, such as incrementality analysis, marketing mix modeling (MMM), cleanroom, or other marketing measurement frameworks, is a strong plus.
