About The Opportunity

A leading player in the Data & Analytics consulting sector, delivering end-to-end machine-learning, AI, and advanced-analytics solutions to enterprise customers across finance, retail, and healthcare. We build production-grade models, analytics platforms, and data-driven products that drive measurable business outcomes.

This opportunity is for a Senior Data Scientist (on-site, India) to join a consulting team focused on solving high-impact client problems through predictive modelling, experimentation, and scalable deployment. The role is with Zorba Consulting India and expects hands-on ownership of ML lifecycles.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end ML projects: problem framing, data acquisition, feature engineering, model development, validation, and deployment for client engagements.
Design and implement robust statistical and machine-learning models (classification, regression, time-series, and ensemble methods) that meet performance and explainability targets.
Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models: develop APIs, containerize models, and integrate with CI/CD and monitoring pipelines.
Perform rigorous model validation, A/B testing, and experiment analysis to quantify business impact and guide iterative improvements.
Mentor junior data scientists and analytics consultants; define best practices for reproducible experiments, model governance, and documentation.
Translate model outputs into clear, actionable insights and present recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have: Proficiency in Python for data science and production (including Pandas and NumPy).
Must-Have: Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.
Must-Have: Experience building and tuning machine-learning models using scikit-learn and deep-learning frameworks such as TensorFlow.
Must-Have: Solid foundation in statistical modeling, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
Must-Have: Hands-on experience with model deployment and production integration (containers, APIs, basic CI/CD concepts).
Must-Have: Proven ability to design experiments and conduct A/B testing with business-focused metrics.
Preferred: Experience with PySpark or distributed data processing for large datasets.
Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tooling.
