Senior Data Engineer 

Hybrid – Princeton, NJ or New York City

$140K–$180K Base Salary + 12% Annual Bonus

• Design, build, and optimize Databricks ETL/ELT pipelines supporting enterprise AI/ML initiatives
• Develop scalable feature engineering frameworks and reusable feature stores for machine learning applications
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Software Developers to deliver production-grade AI solutions
• Build and support GenAI and RAG-based systems including embeddings, vector search, and model orchestration
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, monitoring, and observability for data and ML workflows
• Develop APIs and scalable inference endpoints for machine learning models and AI services
• Optimize Databricks clusters, Spark workloads, and Azure infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency
• Contribute to AI platform architecture, governance, security, and enterprise scalability initiatives

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Databricks, Spark, and enterprise Data Engineering
• Experience building and supporting AI/ML platforms, including GenAI or RAG-based solutions
• Expertise with Azure cloud services including Azure Databricks, Azure AI Search, APIM, and Entra
• Experience with ML/AI frameworks such as MLFlow, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, dbt, or dvc
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, microservices, and production observability

• Experience with multi-model orchestration across providers such as OpenAI or Anthropic
• Knowledge of Databricks medallion architecture, Unity Catalog, and workspace management
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field

• Strong Databricks + Azure Data Engineering background
• Hands-on Machine Learning and GenAI platform experience
• Experience building or supporting RAG systems and LLM orchestration
• Production-level AI/ML deployment and observability experience
• Strong software engineering mindset with CI/CD and API development experience
• Candidates local to or willing to work hybrid in Princeton, NJ or New York City
