Role Description

This is a full-time, Remote Data Engineer role. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support the VAPS ERP platform and analytics needs for educational institutions. Responsibilities include implementing and optimizing ETL processes, integrating data from multiple internal and external systems, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and security. The role involves collaborating closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to model data for reporting and dashboards, troubleshoot data issues, and improve system performance. The Data Engineer will also help define best practices for data architecture and support the ongoing evolution of the company’s data infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling to structure data for transactional systems, reporting, and analytics use cases.
• Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Ability to apply Data Analytics concepts to support reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g.,
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team on-site.
• Experience with data security, compliance, and best practices in handling sensitive educational or institutional data is a plus.
