Position: Data Engineer Snowflake

Location: Pune

The position will be a Data Engineer Developer within the Data Engineering and Analytics team with a range of technical and leadership skills. The candidate should be proficient in Data Engineering and Architecture. The candidate should have experience with Data Integration and Data Architecture and be capable of technical leadership, design, and hands-on development.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement and manage complex ETL/ELT processes from multiple sources and technologies.
• Manage data analysis and data integration of content from disparate systems in both cloud and on-prem environment.
• Design and build data models and table structures to support data solutions.
• Evaluate and improve existing Data Integrations.
• Create high-level plans, designs and execute to deliver solutions working with business and IT staff.
• Lead the design and development of data solutions for the Publication Division.
• Gather, document and design key business definitions, measures, and standards.
• Develop and execute test plans and work with QA teams to understand and teach.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Coordinate the design and building of unified reports, dashboards and data extractions across multiple business units and databases.
• Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and accessible.
  
  

Job Requirements

• B.S. in Information Systems or similar IT or Business field with 5+ years of applicable experience in Data Engineering
• Expertise in multiple databases, data warehousing, database design and modeling with in-depth knowledge of databases, Schema and Table structures. SQL Server, Snowflake and GBQ preferred
• Significant hands-on experience building and working with data warehouses, lakes, marts, pipelines, and providing reporting or analytical services.
• Experience with or strong understanding of ETL/ELT and workflow tools like Pentaho, Talend etc.
• Experience with Agile and other software development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS EC2, S3, Lambda or equivalent services from Azure or Google).
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and familiarity with Sprint and Kanban.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and customer service skills.
• Expert knowledge of data warehousing concepts and design principles.
• Ability to plan work and deliver accurate estimates as a technical lead.
• Excellent communication skills, to work well in a medium sized development team with business users and technical staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business partners and IT to implement data solutions.
• Ability to effectively lead and guide others to achieve project objectives.
• Ability to quickly adapt and respond to new project requirements.
