Summary UST is looking for a Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Opportunity In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and categorizing system logs, performing predictive analytics, manipulating large datasets, and developing comprehensive data visualizations and reports. You will combine analytical and development expertise to deliver insights that drive business decisions and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data analysis , predictive modeling , and report development , along with solid proficiency in tools such as Python , SQL , and Power BI . Key Responsibilities Log Analysis & Categorization Monitor and analyze application/system logs to identify patterns and anomalies. Classify logs based on content, severity, and relevance. Automate the log categorization process through scripts or tools. Maintain accuracy and consistency in log classification and reporting. Data Analysis & Predictive Modeling Collect, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and correlations. Build and validate predictive models to support strategic business decisions. Apply statistical and machine learning algorithms for data-driven insights. Data Manipulation & Transformation Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Manipulate datasets using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all systems. Reporting & Visualization Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. Translate analytical insights into actionable visualizations for stakeholders. Deliver both periodic and ad-hoc reports for leadership and business units. What You Need Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field. Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Developer, or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and R for data manipulation and analysis. Expertise in Power BI or Tableau for data visualization. Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities. Required Skills Python / SQL / R ? Data processing, analysis, and transformation. Power BI / Tableau ? Dashboard and report creation. Data Modeling & Predictive Analytics ? Using statistical and ML techniques. ETL Development ? Efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading. Log Analysis ? Automation and categorization of system logs. Desired Skills Experience with automation scripting (e.g., Bash, Python scripting). Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data storage tools. Understanding of DevOps monitoring systems and integration workflows. Familiarity with data pipelines and real-time analytics environments. Qualification B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Statistics, or equivalent. 5?8 years of relevant work experience in Data Analytics and Development.
