Job Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building and optimizing ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage, Snowflake, dbt, and MettleCI and a proven ability to deliver accurate, scalable, and reliable data solutions that meet governance and coding standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data management systems and pipelines.
• Develop high-performance algorithms, predictive models, prototypes, and custom components to support analytics and data processing.
• Build, optimize, and monitor ETL and ELT workflows using IBM DataStage, Snowflake, dbt, and MettleCI.
• Ensure adherence to business requirements, governance standards, and industry best practices.
• Integrate new data management tools, engineering technologies, and automation capabilities into existing architectures.
• Establish and optimize processes for data modeling, data mining, and data production workflows.
• Research and identify opportunities to leverage existing data assets.
• Use a variety of programming languages and integration tools to enable seamless data flow across platforms.
• Collaborate with solution architects, IT teams, and data scientists to achieve project objectives and milestones.
• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance data quality, reliability, and performance.
• Maintain and update disaster recovery procedures to ensure system resilience.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency with IBM DataStage, Snowflake, dbt, and CI/CD tooling such as MettleCI.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL and ELT design and optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with data pipeline testing, including unit, integration, regression, and data quality validation within automated CI/CD workflows.
• Knowledge of data governance, coding standards, and best practices for secure and reliable data operations.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver time-sensitive, enterprise initiatives.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience implementing automated testing and deployments for data pipelines.
• Background in data modeling, data mining, and performance tuning in cloud data platforms.
