Role Description

This is a contract-based, on-site Data Engineer role located in Chennai. As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines and data solutions. You will be part of a high-performing offshore delivery team responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, cloud data platforms, and enterprise-grade analytics solutions. The role involves working closely with client teams to support data engineering initiatives in a structured delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines

• Build and maintain cloud-based data solutions on Azure

• Work with large datasets for transformation and integration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytics and reporting requirements

• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across data platforms

Qualifications

• Experience of 5-8 years in Azure cloud data services with strong Data Engineering and Data Modeling skills, and a focus on building reliable and scalable data solutions.
• Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools and methodologies for efficient data processing.
• Experience with Data Warehousing concepts and designing robust data storage systems.
• Knowledge of Data Analytics for deriving actionable business insights.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with modern data stack technologies and cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Banking or financial domain experience is a plus
