Job Description: Data Center Engineer – Cabling & Passive Infra (L1/L2 Operations)

📍 Location: Hyderabad / Mumbai (NTT & Yotta) (24*7 Shifts)

🕒 Experience: 1.5 to 6 years

🎓 Education: BE/B.Tech (Electronics/IT/CS) or equivalent

Role Summary

We are looking for a Data Center Engineer – L1/L2 Operations with strong hands-on expertise in structured cabling, passive infra management, and racking/mounting of IT hardware. The role is critical in ensuring seamless installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure while adhering to operational standards and compliance.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Handle racking, mounting, and unmounting of hardware in compliance with standards.
• Execute passive cabling (fiber/copper) installation, patching, and labeling.
• Conduct routine cable management to maintain efficiency and avoid downtime.
• Support troubleshooting of cabling and connectivity issues.
• Assist in hardware installations, upgrades, and relocations.
• Work with L2/L3 teams for escalations related to infra and cabling.
• Document cabling layouts, hardware movement, and inventory changes.
• Follow and enforce data center hygiene and safety standards.
