Job Summary

Shriram General Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret data that supports business strategies and operational improvements. The role involves transforming complex data into meaningful insights, creating reports and dashboards, and working closely with business teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business and operational decisions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Perform data validation, cleaning, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate periodic reports for management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and business units.
• Support data-driven initiatives and help improve reporting and analytics processes.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar technologies.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data cleaning, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience working with spreadsheets and data reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with insurance or financial services industry data.
• Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of business intelligence and analytics frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile or collaborative project environments.
