As an Engineering Business KPI Analyst, you will be part of Indian Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources, and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across markets. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Display strong analytical and business acumen with a focus on measuring and improving engineering performance through KPIs.
- Documenting, and analyzing business requirements, processes, and workflows. Develop, monitor, and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards using Power BI and advanced reporting tools.
- Working Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Atomate. Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to define meaningful performance metrics aligned with business goals.
- Analyze trends and performance data to provide actionable insights supporting continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
- Translate complex performance data into clear, executive-level reports and visualizations. Work with data engineers to ensure accurate data extraction, validation, and integration from various business systems (ERP, PLM, project tools, etc.).
- Drive data governance and standardization of KPI definitions across engineering functions. Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation of KPI reporting.
- Support management reviews by preparing comprehensive Business reports and performance scorecards.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or electrical or mechanical or data analytics / related discipline with 3-8 years of relevant experience in business KPI management or performance analytics.
- 3-8 years of experience in KPI reporting, business performance tracking, or data analytics with exposure to engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI for KPI visualization and performance dashboards.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation; experience with DAX and data modeling.
- Good understanding of business performance metrics (engineering productivity, project efficiency, cost optimization, etc.).
- Knowledge of Python/R, forecasting methods, or statistical techniques for trend and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure for accessing and managing data sources including Azure Synapse, ADF, Databricks.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and refine KPI frameworks aligned with business goals.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
