Job Description
Data Analyst
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Experience: 3–5 years
Comp. Range: 30,000 - 50,000 USD
About the Company
Blueberrybytes is a company focused on building practical, data-informed solutions that help teams make better decisions and improve business performance. The team values clarity, speed, and ownership, and works closely across functions to turn information into action. As the company grows, the Data & Analytics function plays a key role in creating trusted reporting, surfacing insights, and improving how the business measures progress. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working with stakeholders, translating business questions into analysis, and shaping the way data is used across the organization. The environment is collaborative and outcome-oriented, with an emphasis on work that is useful, reliable, and easy to act on.
About the Role
The Data Analyst will own recurring and ad hoc analysis that helps the business understand performance, identify trends, and make better decisions. The role sits at the intersection of data, reporting, and business context, so success depends on turning raw information into clear answers that leaders can trust. You will work with internal teams to define metrics, improve visibility into key workflows, and support decisions with structured insights. The position is ideal for someone who can balance accuracy with speed and communicate findings in a simple, practical way. Your work will directly shape how teams monitor progress and prioritize action.
Key Responsibilities
- Own recurring reporting and analysis so leaders have timely visibility into performance, trends, and exceptions. Convert business questions into clear outputs that improve decision-making speed and consistency.
- Build and maintain dashboards, KPI views, and reporting systems that make complex data easy to interpret. Ensure the outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned to how the business measures success.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define metrics and investigate performance shifts. Turn ad hoc requests into structured analysis that clarifies what happened, why it happened, and what action is needed.
- Improve data quality and reporting logic by identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and process issues. Strengthen trust in the numbers so teams can use the insights confidently.
- Present findings in a concise, business-friendly way that connects analysis to action. Help stakeholders understand the implications of the data and the decisions it should inform.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong command of SQL and spreadsheet analysis to extract, clean, and validate data accurately. Use these tools to build dependable analysis that supports day-to-day business decisions.
- Experience with BI or dashboard tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Create reporting views that are intuitive, scalable, and useful for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to structure analysis using logical thinking, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of business metrics. Connect the numbers to operational outcomes rather than stopping at observation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain findings simply and persuasively. Make the analysis accessible to teams that need fast, practical answers.
- Comfort working with multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities. Keep analysis focused on the highest-value questions and deliver work that is actionable.
- Familiarity with basic statistics and data validation methods. Use these skills to test assumptions, spot anomalies, and improve confidence in the results.
Additional Plus
- Experience with Python for analysis or automation is a plus when deeper exploration or repeatable workflows are needed.
- Exposure to product, operations, finance, or growth analytics can help you add context faster and identify the right performance levers.
- A habit of improving reporting processes and simplifying manual work will be valued, especially when it creates faster, cleaner decision support.
What You'll Bring
- A track record of turning messy data into useful insights that influence decisions. You focus on outcomes, not just output, and care about whether the analysis changes what teams do.
- A practical mindset and strong ownership of reporting quality, data accuracy, and follow-through. You spot issues early and stay with the problem until the underlying cause is understood.
- Confidence working with stakeholders to clarify the real question behind a request. You help teams narrow in on the metric or insight that matters most.
- The ability to communicate clearly and keep analysis simple, credible, and actionable. You know how to present findings in a way that earns trust and drives alignment.
