Role Description The Dance Teacher role at Nalanda Vidhyalay is a full-time, on-site position based in Halvad. The Dance Teacher will plan and conduct regular dance classes for students across different age groups, introducing them to fundamental techniques, styles, and expressions. Responsibilities include developing age-appropriate lesson plans, preparing students for school events, performances, and competitions, and integrating dance with cultural and school activities. The Dance Teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment. Additional duties include coordinating with other teachers, participating in staff meetings, and supporting overall cultural programs within the school.
Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Dance and Music, with the ability to demonstrate techniques and rhythms clearly.
  • Experience in Dance Instruction and Dance Education, including creating structured lesson plans and curricula.
  • Teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, with the ability to manage classrooms and engage diverse learners.
  • Ability to choreograph group and solo performances for school functions, cultural events, and competitions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, inclusive, and student-centered approach.
  • Formal training, certification, or a diploma in Dance or Performing Arts is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and participate actively in broader co-curricular and cultural initiatives.
