Role Description The Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and securing UNIPREP’s applications, networks, and information systems against threats and vulnerabilities. Day-to-day tasks include conducting security assessments, implementing security controls, managing incident response, and supporting secure configuration and patch management across the environment. The role involves collaborating with engineering and operations teams to design and maintain secure architectures, develop security guidelines, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies. The specialist will also contribute to security awareness initiatives, documentation, and continuous improvement of the overall security posture. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Application Security skills, including secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and remediation for web and mobile applications.
  • Candidates should possess Cybersecurity and Information Security skills, including risk assessment, threat analysis, security policies, and incident management.
  • Candidates should possess Network Security skills, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection and prevention, VPNs, and network monitoring.
  • Candidates should possess a broad understanding of Cyber and security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS controls.
  • Relevant experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred; industry certifications (such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar) are an advantage.
