Our client is a pan-European customs and logistics partner supporting leading eCommerce and cross-border trade platforms outside the European Union. Combining strong customs expertise with a modern, tech-driven approach, the company specializes in seamless international clearance operations and regulatory compliance across multiple European markets.

As part of the launch of their Bulgarian entity, they are now looking for a licensed Customs Administrator to become a key member of their local operations team. The position involves hands-on responsibility for import/export customs clearance activities, customs declarations, shipment coordination, and communication with customs authorities, carriers, warehouses, and clients. It requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving operational challenges and working in a modern, fast-moving customs environment.

Customs Administrator (Licensed)

Responsibilities

• Manage daily customs clearance activities for import and export air cargo and eCommerce shipments.
• Prepare, review, and submit customs declarations in compliance with Bulgarian and EU customs regulations.
• Handle H1, H7 (IOSS), and transit-related customs procedures.
• Ensure accuracy across customs documentation, HS classification, valuation, and supporting paperwork.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, carriers, warehouses, and clients to resolve operational and clearance-related issues.
• Work within national customs systems and support smooth customs processing and compliance activities.
• Support the setup, maintenance, and optimization of local customs processes, permits, and operational workflows.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficient, tech-driven customs operations;
  
  

Requirements

• University degree in Logistics, International Trade, Economics, Law, or a related field;
• Valid professional qualification/license as a Customs Broker / Customs Declarant recognized by the Bulgarian customs authorities;
• Previous experience in customs brokerage, customs clearance, or freight forwarding operations;
• Experience with import/export customs declarations and Bulgarian customs procedures;
• Good understanding of EU customs regulations, customs documentation, HS classification, valuation, and clearance processes;
• Experience with H1, H7 (IOSS), or NCTS/transit procedures would be considered a strong advantage;
• Experience working in structured, process-driven logistics or customs environments;
• Comfortable working with customs systems, operational tools, and technology-driven workflows;
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously within an international operational environment;
• Fluent English.
