Project Role : Custom Software Engineer Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. Must have skills : SAP Business Data Cloud BDC Good to have skills : NA Minimum 5 Year(s) Of Experience Is Required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education , Summary: Design, develop, and optimize native SAP HANA solutions using advanced SQL, calculation views, procedures, and table functions, ensuring high performance and seamless integration with applications and analytics platforms. SAP BDC/ Data Sphere/BW4HANA Roles & Responsibilities: - Develop complex SQLScript-based procedures, functions, and views in SAP HANA Studio / Web IDE for HANA• - Build advanced Calculation Views (Graphical & Scripted) for analytical and transactional use cases• - Optimize query performance using partitioning, indexing, parallel processing, and result caching• - Work with data provisioning tools (SDI, SDA, SLT) to integrate external systems into HANA• - Implement data security concepts (Analytic Privileges, Object Privileges, Row-level Security)• - Perform root cause analysis of performance bottlenecks and tune SQL queries• Create HANA-based REST/OData services for UI5, Python, or third-party applications• - Integrate HANA models with SAC, SAP Datasphere, and other reporting tools• - Work closely with functional teams to translate business logic into optimized HANA data models Professional & Technical Skills: - Exp in SAP HANA 2.0 (XS Classic, XS Advanced)• SQLScript, CE Functions, Table Functions, Stored Procedures• Calculation Views (Graphical, Scripted, Hierarchical)• Advanced SQL (CTEs, Window Functions, Recursive Queries, Pivoting)• Query optimization techniques & explain plans• Data provisioning via SDI/SDA/SLT• SAP HANA Security & Privilege Management - Exp in SAP Business Application Studio • Integration with SAP CAP / RAP• Knowledge of SAP BTP HANA Cloud• Understanding of OLTP & OLAP modeling• Experience with SAP Datasphere / SAC connectivity• Python, Node.js, or Java integration with HANA• Prompt engineering - SAP HANA Studio, SAP Web IDE for HANA, SAP BAS, Git, Postman, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Data Services, SAP Data Intelligence Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Business Data Cloud BDC. - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
