Position Objective: A Creative visionary and brand specialist who inspires & directs the developments of innovative packaging and high-impact digital assets across global markets. Analyzes brand objectives and regional market trends to pioneer cutting-edge design directions tailored to diverse market needs, provide expert creative counsel to key stakeholders, and ensure a premium brand identity by driving design excellence and aesthetic innovation through the strategic guidance of the design team.


Reports to:                    APAC Marketing Regional Manager 


Specific Accountabilities:

  1. Creative Packaging Excellence for Global Expansion: Lead the conceptualization and creation of innovative product packaging designs that resonate with diverse global markets. Ensure all packaging solutions are scalable and adaptable for various channels, including e-commerce, traditional retail, and international export markets (Asia-Pacific Core Markets, Europe, Non-European markets, and local Malaysia, India requirements).
  2. Strategic Design for Sales Channel Diversification: Drive the visual strategy to support the expansion into new territories. Design high-impact packaging that meets the regulatory and aesthetic standards of global markets, contributing to the successful entry and sales growth in international markets. Able to create print original designs for new products or to refresh existing products.
  3. Global Brand Consistency & Quality Governance: Function as the primary brand guardian to ensure a premium and consistent visual identity across all physical touchpoints. Oversee the translation of brand values into tangible packaging and print assets that enhance the brand’s presence in both domestic and global retail environments.
  4. Cross-Functional Creative Consultation: Provide expert creative counsel to cross-functional partners (Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain) to optimize packaging for export logistics, shelf-impact in retail, and unboxing experiences in the digital-first market.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related creative field from a reputable university.
  • About 7 - 10 years of professional design experience within a global MNC or a top-tier creative agency, with a specialized focus on packaging and digital assets.
  • Proven track record of create excellence in product packaging design, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates innovation and high-quality execution.
  • Design experience in the E-commerce, Beauty, or Lifestyle industries, particularly in designing for diverse sales channels including retail and international export.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); knowledge of 3D rendering (Dimension, Blender) or Motion Graphics (After Effects) is an advantage.
  • Excellent aesthetic judgement and insightful visual storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into innovative and pragmatic design solutions.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide junior designers and present creative concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated and solution-oriented, with a drive to thrive in a highly matrixed, fast-paced organization and comfort with ambiguity.
