Role Overview
As a Senior Copywriter at Grapes, you will play a key role in shaping brand narratives, developing communication strategies, and creating compelling copy across platforms. We are looking for someone who can go beyond writing and bring a strong understanding of brand positioning, content strategy, and campaign thinking to the table.
The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable conceptualising integrated campaigns, building and strategising BAU content calendars, defining brand tonality, and translating business and communication objectives into impactful creative ideas.
Roles & Responsibilities
Creative Copywriting: Develop sharp, engaging, and brand-aligned copy across digital, social media, campaigns, films, print, and other communication platforms.Brand Strategy & Positioning: Understand brand objectives, audience insights, and competitive landscapes to create communication aligned with the brand’s positioning and identity.Campaign Conceptualisation: Develop creative concepts and integrated campaign ideas that combine strategic thinking with impactful storytelling.BAU Content Strategy: Strategise and develop BAU content calendars with relevant content themes, platform-specific ideas, and communication opportunities.Brand Voice Management: Build and maintain distinct brand voices, ensuring consistency in tonality and messaging across all communication touchpoints.Creative Collaboration: Work closely with Strategy, Design, and Account Management teams to translate briefs and business objectives into strong creative solutions.Quality & Mentorship: Review and refine creative output while guiding junior writers and maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and creativity.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in copywriting, creative communication, or content strategy, preferably within a creative, digital, or integrated advertising agency.Strong experience working on brands across BAU communication as well as integrated or digital campaigns.Demonstrated understanding of brand positioning, communication strategy, content planning, and campaign conceptualisation.A strong portfolio showcasing creative copy, campaign thinking, brand communication, and content-led ideas.
Skills
Exceptional copywriting and editing skills with strong attention to detail.Strong conceptual and strategic thinking abilities.Understanding of brand positioning, consumer insights, and communication strategy.Ability to develop and strategise BAU content calendars alongside campaign-led communication.Ability to translate briefs and business objectives into strong creative ideas and narratives.Strong presentation and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple brands and projects in a fast-paced agency environment.Experience mentoring or guiding junior writers is preferred.
