What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement the India people strategy aligned with Allegion’s global priorities and local business objectives.
  • Partner with site leadership on organization design, workforce planning, change management and operational readiness for IT, product and engineering teams.
  • Lead end‑to‑end talent acquisition for technical roles, university relations and employer branding initiatives.
  • Build performance management, succession planning, career frameworks and leadership development programs targeted at technical and engineering talent.
  • Strong leadership in total rewards for India, including partnership with our global total rewards team for market benchmarking, annual salary reviews, incentive programs and benefits strategy to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, statutory compliance, audits and remediation in line with Indian labour laws and new labour codes.
  • Drive HR operations, Workday administration and people analytics to deliver actionable insights and continuous process improvements.
  • Lead the local HR team, manage external HR vendors and budgets, and ensure timely execution of global HR programs with local relevance.
  • Champion inclusion initiatives and promote a positive employee experience and drive HR team engagement.
  • Own the development, localization, communication, and periodic review of HR policies to ensure legal compliance, consistency, and alignment with global frameworks.
  • Supervise and Support team for internal and external audits (i.e. statutory, internal, SOX), including documentation, control effectiveness, timely remediation, and closure of audit findings.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Global HR teams to assess, mitigate, and manage people‑related compliance and employment risks.
  • Drive awareness, training, and adherence to HR policies, code of conduct, ethics, data privacy, and confidentiality across the organization.
  • Define and embed hybrid / flexible working models, productivity norms, and collaboration practices aligned with global standards and local realities.

What We Are Looking For

  • Hands‑on knowledge of Indian labour laws, the new labour codes, and experience managing compliance and audits.
  • Proven experience in recruiting and developing technical talent, including engineering, software and IT talent.
  • Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, coaching and change management skills.
  • Data‑driven mindset with experience using HRIS and people analytics.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and across geographies.
  • Fluency in English; Hindi or a major regional language preferred.

Experience

  • 15+ years progressive HR experience in India, with 10+ years in senior HR leadership supporting technical, engineering or R&D organizations; GCC or multinational experience preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field; master’s preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP, HRCI or equivalent certification is a plus.
