Position Overview

Job Title: Proxy Voting Analyst, NCT

Location: Bangalore, India

Role Description

  • The Proxy Analyst / Proxy Voting Specialist is responsible for the end‑to‑end processing, oversight, and governance of proxy voting activities for DWS-managed portfolios globally.
  • The role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant execution of voting instructions, adherence to regulatory and client-specific requirements, and effective coordination with custodians, proxy agents, research providers, and internal stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

Operational Processing

  • Manage end‑to‑end proxy voting lifecycle, including meeting setup, agenda analysis, vote execution, confirmation, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure votes are submitted within internal and external deadlines, in line with DWS voting policies and client mandates.
  • Monitor and resolve ballot rejections, missing ballots, share‑blocking restrictions, and late notifications.
  • Handle manual and exception-based voting scenarios, including restricted markets and special meeting types.


Governance, Controls & Risk

  • Execute proxy voting activities in compliance with DWS policies, regulatory requirements, and client agreements.
  • Maintain and evidence key operational controls, including maker/checker processes and quality assurance checks.


Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as a key operational contact for proxy agents, custodians, and research providers.
  • Liaise with internal teams including Investment, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Governance, and Client Coverage.


Your Skills And Experience

Technical / Functional

  • Strong understanding of Proxy Voting, Corporate Governance, and Securities Operations.
  • Knowledge of custody markets, proxy agents, meeting mechanics, and record date concepts.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations impacting proxy voting and stewardship activities.


Analytical & Risk Mindset

  • High attention to detail with strong control and risk awareness.
  • Ability to analyze complex scenarios and resolve issues under time pressure.
  • Structured approach to documentation and evidence management.


Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Clear and professional communication with global stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate operational issues, risks, and remediation plans to senior audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills across time zones and functions.


Experience & Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience in Proxy Voting.
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
  • Exposure to global markets and multi‑jurisdictional voting environments preferred.
