About the Role:
As a Copywriter at YAAS, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and guiding the creation of engaging short-form video content for platforms like Instagram. Your writing will play a key role in shaping content that drives audience engagement, channel growth, and brand perception.
Responsibilities:
- Write 45–50 short-form video scripts tailored for social media platforms.
- Develop engaging content formats that help tell stories in interesting and memorable ways.
- Contribute to the entire video production journey, ensuring the script translates effectively on screen.
- Be present during shoots and work alongside the team as a writer-director for organic content.
- Take ownership of a page’s growth by refining writing styles, editing direction, and content formats that make the page stand out.
- Learn to integrate brand messaging naturally within organic video content scripts.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in content creation or copywriting, preferably with agency experience, working with brands, creators, or social media platforms with measurable engagement.
Required Skills:
- Strong research skills and ability to identify trending topics in relevant niches.
- Excellent writing abilities without over-reliance on AI tools (should use LLMs strategically to enhance thinking and identify trends, not replace original writing).
- Understanding of visual storytelling and how scripts translate to video.
- Demonstrated ability to write engaging hooks and maintain viewer attention.
- Experience analysing content performance data and adjusting strategy accordingly.
- Portfolio of previous work showing writing quality and engagement results.
