About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Copywriter I to join our marketing team. As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging copy for various marketing channels and campaigns. You will work to ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality-driven, and aligns with our company's messaging, tone and voice, and company goals. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of creating impactful copy, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This position is remote-based within the United States, with a preference for candidates located in Seattle or Chicago. The role involves conceptualizing and developing creative copy for marketing campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional teams, editing and proofreading content, and adhering to brand standards and industry best practices. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing Zones' brand presence and supporting marketing initiatives that drive business growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of proven experience as a Copywriter in B2B technology companies, IT/AV distribution or reseller preferred.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to adapt writing style to various tones, voices, and platforms.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in SEO principles and content optimization.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Experience working closely with sales organizations and cross-functional teams.
• Rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop creative, persuasive copy for marketing campaigns, advertisements, websites, emails, social media, and corporate collateral.
• Collaborate with designers, marketing teams, website developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, target audiences, and campaign objectives.
• Edit and proofread all content to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and tone.
• Follow established AP Style Guides and content standards to maintain uniformity across all channels.
• Conduct research and interviews to understand customer needs, industry trends, and market insights.
• Maintain adherence to content calendars and copy standards playbooks to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices in digital marketing, and copywriting techniques, with a bonus for knowledge of the IT technology industry.
• Assist in optimizing content for SEO and digital performance metrics.
