Copywriter

Primary Responsibilities

1. Regularly view and study all advertising for brands competitive to the client’s, especially TV & print in English.
2. Regularly study and understand sales and market share information of the client (and its competitors), so as to appreciate the reasons why different communication strategies are initiated.
3. Conduct internet searches to identify new creative trends in the client’s category and share these with other team members.
4. Read and understand all creative briefs thoroughly and ask for clarifications if required.
5. Actively participate in ideation and concept discussions with the creative and client management teams.
6. For every assignment, develop concepts and discuss these with the seniors in the creative and client management teams. If none of these are workable, come up with more ideas till there is an agreement on acceptable ideas / concepts.
7. Carefully read job requisitions to ensure that all specific job requirements are properly delivered and time schedules are strictly adhered to.
8. Regularly follow-up on jobs assigned to you and track the job through studio, production etc to ensure that all details of the jobs are accurately executed during the execution process.
9. All completed layouts and artworks must be thoroughly checked to ensure there are no mistakes.
10. You will be required to work on more than one assignment simultaneously and must do justice to parallel assignments with equal attention to equality, detailing and delivery deadlines.
11. Present all creative ideas / concepts to Senior members of Creative and Client management teams in an interesting and convincing manner and provide strong logic and justification for the ideas / concepts presented
