Job Title: Azure Automation & DevOps Engineer

About The Role

We’re looking for an Azure Automation & DevOps Engineer who can build, maintain, and improve automation across our cloud environment. This role combines hands‑on scripting, Azure DevOps practices, and conversational AI automation. You’ll work in a hybrid setup, collaborating with cloud engineers, developers, and operations teams to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and support modern automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation using PowerShell, Azure Automation Runbooks, Logic Apps, and Functions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including build, release, and deployment automation.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using ARM (based on team standards).
• Create and manage automation workflows for provisioning, monitoring, patching, and routine operational tasks.
• Work with Conversational AI tools (Azure Bot Service, Power Virtual Agents, Copilot Studio) to automate user interactions and service requests.
• Integrate bots and automation with backend systems using APIs, webhooks, and Azure services.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, pipeline issues, and script errors; implement long‑term fixes.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and application teams to ensure automation follows best practices.
• Maintain documentation for scripts, workflows, pipelines, and automation processes.
• Support governance, standards, and reusable automation frameworks across the organization.
  
  

Core Skills & Technical Knowledge

Azure Automation

• PowerShell scripting (advanced level).
• Azure Automation Runbooks (PowerShell & Python).
• Logic Apps, Functions, Event Grid, and Automation Accounts.
• Azure Monitor alerts, action groups, and automated remediation.
  
  

DevOps

• Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML or Classic).
• Git branching, version control, and code reviews.
• CI/CD for applications, infrastructure, and automation.
• Experience with IaC tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
  
  

Conversational AI & Automation

• Azure Bot Service or Power Virtual Agents.
• Copilot Studio or similar conversational AI tools.
• API integrations, REST endpoints, and backend automation.
• Ability to design simple conversational flows and automate service requests.
  
  

General Cloud & Ops Skills

• Azure resource management and governance basics.
• Understanding of networking, identity, and security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident response workflows.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of experience in Azure automation, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
• Strong PowerShell,Python scripting background.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Exposure to conversational AI tools or willingness to learn.
• Experience working in hybrid or Agile environments.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Graph API.
• Knowledge of Python for automation.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations or workflow automation.
• Experience building reusable automation frameworks.
• Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑204, AZ‑400, AI‑102).
