We are partnering on an exciting Controller opportunity with a well-established and growing manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on finance leader to help strengthen and elevate the accounting function.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys being deeply involved in both the financial and operational side of the business. The company is looking for a leader who can bring structure, accountability, and process improvement while partnering closely with operations and executive leadership to help drive business performance.

This is more than a traditional Controller role - it's an opportunity to influence change, mentor a team, improve processes, and make a visible impact across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Oversee core accounting functions including general ledger, cost accounting, fixed assets, AP, AR, and compliance
  • Partner closely with operational leaders to connect financial results to manufacturing activity and business performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making alongside executive leadership
  • Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and help modernize accounting procedures
  • Develop KPIs, reporting tools, and dashboards that provide meaningful business insights
  • Lead audit coordination and maintain compliance across accounting operations
  • Mentor, develop, and lead an accounting team while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture
  • Play a key role in improving legacy processes and enhancing the overall finance infrastructure

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with prior leadership responsibility
  • Strong manufacturing accounting background required, including experience supporting operational environments
  • Expertise in financial reporting, close processes, internal controls, and cost accounting
  • Ability to connect accounting and operational activity within a manufacturing setting
  • Process-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Proven leadership experience developing and mentoring teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • CPA and/or advanced degree is a plus
Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with prior leadership responsibility
Strong manufacturing accounting background required, including experience supporting operational environments
Expertise in financial reporting, close processes, internal controls, and cost accounting
Ability to connect accounting and operational activity within a manufacturing setting
Process-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
