Role Description The Construction Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruchirappalli. This role is responsible for coordinating construction activities, ensuring that project milestones are met, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, sustainable buildings. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing and managing submittals, monitoring site work for quality control, and collaborating with contractors, consultants, and internal design teams. The Construction Project Engineer will track project progress, assist in resolving technical issues on site, support compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and contribute to efficient communication across all stakeholders. The role also involves documenting project activities, reporting status updates, and supporting continuous improvement in construction methods and processes.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong project coordination skills, including scheduling, tracking deliverables, and managing documentation.
  • Candidates should possess construction engineering skills, including understanding structural and architectural drawings, site execution practices, and basic building services.
  • Candidates should possess quality control skills, including inspection of materials and workmanship, adherence to standards, and support for safety and compliance.
  • Candidates should possess submittals management skills, including preparing, reviewing, and tracking technical submittals and shop drawings.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including clear reporting, stakeholder coordination, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working on architectural or sustainable building projects is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office, project management tools) is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
