Job Description for Computer Teacher:

Sacred Heart School, a renowned residential and day boarding institution in Siliguri, is seeking an Assistant Teacher of Computer Science to join our vibrant team.

Our school is affiliated with the CISCE curriculum and is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Excellence:

Deliver interactive, engaging, and practical computer science lessons for Grades 3 to 8.

Align lessons with the CISCE curriculum while integrating modern and relevant topics like AI, machine learning, and computational thinking.

Curriculum Development:

Work with existing curriculum set up and receive training to deliver lessons accurately and enthusiastically.

Student Engagement:

Create a positive and inclusive classroom and lab environment that encourages participation and curiosity.

Provide personalized attention to students, assessing progress, and offering constructive feedback.

Professional Development:

Be open to receiving training and participating in professional enhancement programs.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in education technology and pedagogy.

Community Involvement:

Participate in school events, workshops, parent-teacher meetings, and co-curricular activities.

Essential Qualities:

A strong passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to student development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team.

Educational Qualifications:

Required:

B.C.A. or B.Sc. in Computer Science/ IT or B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics & Communications

A B.Ed. is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates without BEd can apply for this role.

Desirable:

2-3 years teaching experience

Knowledge or certification in emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Robotics.

Salary and Benefits:

* Starting Pay: ₹30,000-35,000 per month.

* Accommodation within school campus.

* Furnished Lodging within school campus.

* Food (all meals) provided.

* Opportunity to increase compensation through additional duties.

Start date: 15 March 2026 (can join until 1st April) also.
