Job Description:

The Compliance Associate will be the primary owner of AML and KYC activities, with a focus on investee-level due diligence and tool support. This will include, among other things:

  • Providing AML support to Investments, Sales & Business Development, and Markets divisions, including supporting subsidiaries
  • Managing development, updates, and adherence to KYC of Investees Procedure
  • Perform AML and KYC activities related to investees, including:

– Review of Enhanced Due Diligence files

– AML low-risk controls and quarterly KYC control reviews

– Maintenance and updating of the KYC of investees review process

  • Ensure level 1 support of the AML-KYC tool, including the templates, access rights, and folder management

In addition, the Compliance Associate will conduct support tasks:

  • Assist on regulatory compliance for Symbiotics’ regulated entities
  • Prepare, coordinate, and submit regulatory questionnaires in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and external legal advisors
  • Support sales staff on compliance issues such as reviewing sales documentation or understanding cross-border issues
  • Support the Compliance manager on:
  • Staff compliance trainings (AML, GDPR, etc.)
  • Key compliance projects
  • Updates of policies and handbooks
  • Communication with the external compliance advisors
  • Compliance Calendar
  • Updates to conflicts of interest register

Skills / Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of Relevant experience in compliance role within the financial services sector focused on KYC.
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience in medium-sized international companies.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss, EU, and international regulatory frameworks, especially FINMA.
  • Familiarity with FATCA, KYC, AML, SFDR, and related compliance domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (i.e. French) are a plus
