Job Description
Job Profile:
To lead and manage the cost control, budgeting, and commercial functions of the project, ensuring effective financial planning, cost monitoring, contract management, and adherence to company policies. The role is responsible for maintaining project profitability, ensuring cost discipline, and supporting management in decision-making through accurate cost analysis and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and finalize detailed Project Cost to Complete (CTC) based on design, specifications, and construction methodology, coordinating the finalization process along with the DCO team.
• Establish cost monitoring systems and track project expenditure against approved budgets.
• Monitor CM discretionary spend to ensure it remains within organizational norms.
• Support management in cash flow planning, cost forecasting, and AOP finalization.
• Ensure timely certification and closure of vendor bills, minimizing hold-ups and disputes.
• Implement cost control mechanisms to track site-level expenses, consumables, and petty cash usage.
• Work closely with the Procurement team for preparation and finalization of work orders, service orders, and amendments.
• Ensure timely issuance of contract amendments for approved extra items, deviations, and variations.
• Scrutinize and validate extra item proposals, rate analyses, and change orders.
• Maintain a comprehensive contract register and track deliverables, milestones, and financial commitments.
• Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and budget adjustments for variations and scope changes.
• Maintain updated records of all commercial deviations for audit and management reporting.
• Drive adherence to the company’s commercial policies and approval protocols.
• Highlight potential risks or savings opportunities through analytical cost insights.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by maintaining transparent documentation.
• Foster close coordination with Project Execution, Planning, Finance, and Design teams for seamless process flow and timely vendor payments.
• Mentor team members and build capability in cost planning and contract management.
