HVAC Apprentice Installer

Summary

Four Star Mechanical is seeking motivated individuals interested in building a career in the commercial HVAC industry. The HVAC Apprentice Installer will work alongside experienced foremen and field leaders to assist with the installation of HVAC systems and equipment on commercial and industrial projects. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, works safely, and takes pride in being part of a team.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 8-hour shifts
• Typical start times between 6:00–7:00 AM and end times between 2:30–3:30 PM
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of commercial HVAC equipment and systems
• Install ductwork, hangers, supports, insulation, and related materials
• Assist with piping installation, equipment setting, and job site organization
• Safely operate hand tools and power tools
• Read tape measures, follow layout instructions, and assist with basic blueprint reading
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Follow company safety procedures and participate in safety meetings
• Work alongside foremen and experienced installers to develop trade knowledge
• Support project completion and other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Interest in commercial HVAC and construction trades
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in active construction environments
• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
• Previous construction or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required
  
  

Work Environment

• Work is performed on active commercial and industrial job sites
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, heights, loud noise, dust, and moving mechanical equipment
• Flexibility with hours may occasionally be required based on project demands
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Lifting up to 50 lbs or more
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching
• Ability to navigate ladders, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and construction sites
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments
