Job description BCG Expand is seeking an Analyst to help support and drive a large, growing book of work aligned to the Commercial Banking sector. The successful candidate will be expected to drive the execution and enhancement of proprietary assets, including benchmarking tools, competitor analysis, market sizing models, diagnostic frameworks, while also contributing to the development of new offerings and methodologies that fuel revenue growth and innovation within ? A core part of the role involves engaging with clients to support senior management in making strategic, data-driven decisions. This analyst will work with global and local teams to deliver insights for BCG case teams and direct-to-client (D2C) projects, leveraging proprietary assets and diverse data sources. This includes understanding client needs, designing tailored solutions, and driving impact through rigorous analysis. We are looking for a proactive, curious, and detail-oriented individual, an articulate, systematic problem solver, who will play a key role in the Practice Area. Key Responsibilities Leading the end-to-end delivery of data analysis programs by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing large qualitative and quantitative datasets to update proprietary models and tools Interpreting market and industry trends to identify patterns, extract insights, and uncover emerging opportunities for clients Leading client and internal meetings effectively; addressing client questions/queries using the data and content expertise Understanding client needs and delivering tailored, insight-driven solutions through proprietary tools, rigorous analysis, and customized reports or presentations Ensuring that clients are satisfied, and project timelines are met Driving new ideas, with limited guidance and working independently While oversight is provided by senior team members, BCG Expand?s culture places emphasis on personal ownership at every stage of an employee?s career. Analysts play a central role in all aspects of the delivery lifecycle, from supporting sales through to initial data collection, analysis, visualization, and communication of findings, allowing for a great deal of diversity on the job and development of a broad skill set. You will have frequent client exposure, often at the senior management level. We are looking for a proactive, curious and diligent individual, an analytical and articulate problem solver who will spearhead the analysis delivery process. The role involves learning and increasing business knowledge quickly, with the opportunity to progress internally. Job Requirements Note: Candidates must be based in Gurgaon. Qualifications and Experience University degree with strong academic achievement, preferably in Business Administration (Finance), Quantitative Sciences, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other analytical disciplines 2 to 4 years of experience in the financial institutions industry, preferably in commercial/wholesale banking roles such as strategy, planning, advisory, product management, or analytics Proven research and database capabilities Experience in market sizing, peer benchmarking, simulation models, and/or diagnostic tools is an advantage Technical Skills Strong understanding of functions, products, and services within the banking industry; solid knowledge of financial services terminology and concepts Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel (pivot tables, complex datasets) and PowerPoint Knowledge of FI industry databases such as SNL, Bloomberg, Thomson, etc. Working knowledge of BI tools, VBA, SQL/Databases, Alteryx, Python, DataIKU, Tableau, etc. is a strong advantage Non-Technical Skills Engaging presentation and storytelling skills; ability to run client meetings, understand client needs, and handle difficult situations effectively Strong project management, time management, and prioritization skills Ability to interpret, evaluate, and model data to extract insights and address client queries Capable of working accurately and simultaneously on multiple assignments under pressure, while keeping stakeholders updated Clear and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels Entrepreneurial, creative, and collaborative mindset with ownership and initiative Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Self-starter attitude, eager to learn quickly and go the extra mile Strong attention to detail, high working standards, and ethics Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, global, project-driven environment Apply now This is an immediate vacancy, and early application would be an advantage.
