About Co-Living – The Vertical You’ll Own

Zolo is India’s largest fully managed co-living platform, operating across multiple major cities including Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and other key locations. Zolo manages a large portfolio of residential properties that house thousands of residents and operate 24×7.

In Co-Living:

  • Every vacant bed impacts revenue

This role exists to ensure none of that slips.


Role Overview – What This Role Is Really About

You are not running a single property.

You are running a mini business.

As an Area Manager, you own a cluster of co-living properties in Bangalore.

Think of yourself as:

  • The business owner of your territory
  • The leader your Associate Customer Experience Managers look up to
  • The final escalation point for customers
  • The person accountable for numbers, people, and experience

Your job is simple to say, hard to execute:

Everything must work — every day — without excuses.


What You Will Practically Do Every Day

So you can clearly picture the job

You will:

  • Take full responsibility for a Cluster of Zolo co-living properties in Bangalore
  • Make sure all properties run smoothly every day (cleanliness, maintenance, safety, services)
  • Lead and guide Associate Customer Experience Managers and on-ground teams to deliver a great customer experience
  • Act as the main problem-solver for customer complaints and serious issues
  • Ensure rooms stay occupied, residents are happy, and revenue targets are met
  • Control costs and improve profitability of the assigned properties
  • Track performance numbers, review reports, and fix problems using data
  • Coordinate with sales, facilities, finance, and central teams to keep operations strong
  • Overall, behave like the business owner of the area and ensure customers get a consistent, high-quality experience

Experience & Background We Look For

  • 4+ years in multi-unit operations / territory roles
  • Backgrounds we often see success from:
  • Retail (Area / Cluster Managers)
  • Hospitality (Hotel Operations)
  • E-commerce Ops
  • QSR
  • Strong people management experience
  • Comfortable with Excel, dashboards, and reports
  • Experience handling escalations and critical situations
  • Two-wheeler mandatory (this is a field-heavy role)
