Role Overview

You'll be hands-on with securing Deccan AI's cloud infrastructure — from IAM policies to vulnerability management to compliance readiness. You'll work across engineering teams to bake security into the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and audit IAM roles, policies, and access controls
  • Implement and monitor cloud security tooling (CSPM, CWPP, SIEM)
  • Run vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation
  • Support compliance efforts (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR as applicable)
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents/alerts
  • Harden cloud configurations against misconfigurations
  • Partner with DevOps/Cloud Engineering to embed security into CI/CD (DevSecOps)
  • Maintain security documentation and runbooks

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud security or security engineering
  • Strong knowledge of IAM, encryption, and network security in cloud environments
  • Experience with security tools (e.g., Wiz, Prisma Cloud, AWS Security Hub, Splunk)
  • Understanding of common compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python) for automation of security tasks
  • Strong incident response and troubleshooting skills

Nice to Have

  • Certifications: CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP
  • Experience securing AI/ML pipelines and data
  • Background in penetration testing or red teaming
