Role Overview

We are seeking Cloud Engineers with strong Python development expertise to build automation, tooling, and cloud-native solutions for a marquee enterprise client. This role is development-heavy - approximately 80% Python engineering, with basic Terraform and hands-on CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions. The ideal candidate is a strong programmer first, with working knowledge of cloud platforms and IaC.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based automation, tooling, and services for cloud platform operations
• Build integrations with cloud provider APIs and SDKs (boto3 or equivalent)
• Maintain and extend Terraform configurations for infrastructure provisioning (basic/secondary focus)
• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions
• Implement policy-as-code guardrails (OPA / Sentinel or comparable security policy frameworks)
• Collaborate with platform, security, and application teams to automate manual workflows
• Write clean, testable, production-grade code with proper documentation

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on Python development experience (primary skill); ability to independently design and write production code, not just scripts
• Basic working experience with Terraform
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions
• Exposure to policy-as-code / security policies (OPA, Sentinel, or any comparable framework)
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS / GCP / OCI)
• Strong debugging, testing, and code review discipline
