Job Description Job Title:- Civil Project Engineer - Oil & Gas - Chennai Job Overview We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with over 10 years of experience in industrial construction, particularly within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, and Infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project engineering, site coordination, and construction management, with a preference for those experienced in marine structures such as jetties and river bridges. This role demands strong technical acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on involvement in planning and execution phases. Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines to gather and share project-critical information Review and comment on engineering drawings and documents from consultants and internal teams Prepare technical specifications, BOQ/BOM/SOQ, and contract conditions tailored to project needs Develop and optimize concrete mix designs and bar bending schedules for procurement Select appropriate formwork methods and oversee pre-casting strategies for civil structures Conduct site visits for brownfield and shutdown projects, prepare reports, and provide actionable insights Participate in project review meetings, vendor discussions, and team coordination sessions Ensure proper documentation, drawing reviews, and compliance with construction standards Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) and quality requirements for third-party inspections Oversee final documentation and ?As-Built? drawings from site teams Monitor daily progress reports (DPR), identify gaps, and implement corrective actions Support planning and scheduling functions and contribute to overall project strategy Skills & Attributes:- Proficient in engineering software and general computer applications Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities Effective team player with collaborative mindset Confident in presenting technical information and project updates Strategic thinker with problem-solving capabilities Familiarity with project management procedures and planning tools Understanding of contractual terms in work orders and purchase orders High sense of accountability and ownership Skills Required RoleCivil Project Engineer - Oil & Gas - Chennai Industry TypeOil/ Gas/ Petroleum Functional Area Required Education B.E.
